Kokoomuksen eurovaaliehdokas ja ex-ralliautonkuljettaja Ari Vatanen on sitä mieltä, että suuri hiilijalanjälki on merkki hyvinvoinnista.

Hiilidioksidipäästöjen välttäminen on ehkä stalinismin ohella suurin hype, jonka olen elämässäni kokenut.
Suuri hiilijalanjälki tarkoittaa hyvinvointia. Miksi ihmisiä syyllistetään materiaalisesta hyvinvoinnista? Vatanen puuskahtaa.
Hän lisää, että aurinko lämmittää maapalloa eikä ihminen.
Tämä on marxilaisuuteen ja Neuvostoliittoon pettyneen vihreän liikkeen keksimää syyllistämistä. Ihmisten syyllistäminen ja maailmanlopulla pelottelu ovat vallankäyttöä, hän jatkaa.
Sehän on ihan absurdia, että ihminen tietäisi miten ilmasto muuttuu. Ei kukaan tiedä minkälainen sää on ensi lauantaina. Lämpimiä jaksoja on tullut ja mennyt ihmiskunnan historian aikana, ehdokas sanoo.
